Prescription only products can only be supplied to you once we have received the original veterinary prescription for the medication. Please take note of the following information before you order any veterinary prescription product.

These Prescription Required products can be added to your shopping cart in the same way as any other product, but they cannot be dispatched until we receive the original prescription signed and dated by your Veterinary Surgeon. Once we receive this prescription, we will be able to dispatch your products to you as soon as possible. Please note that whilst we can accept an electronic copy of your prescription to start processing the order, we also need the original to be posted to us prior to dispatch so please ensure you post it to us first class on the date you place your order. We accept either:
A standard veterinary prescription – just ask your vet to provide this to you. Your vet may charge you a small fee to provide you with a written prescription. Please write your order number on the prescription.
The prescription form below, completed by your vet and including their signature and date of signing. Please note that if you are based overseas (i.e. not in the United Kingdom) your vet must use our prescription form and must either stamp it with their practice stamp or enclose an original letterhead with the prescription.

Please note: we verify the authenticity of all prescriptions received with the veterinary surgeon who prescribed them. If we receive a prescription that is invalid, forged or altered, we have no option but to de-activate the sender’s account. Please also note that it is a criminal offence to alter a prescription and as animal lovers we adopt a zero tolerance approach in this regard. Anyone found to be using such a prescription will have their account with us de-activated and will be reported to the VMD.

Please note that a single prescription and a repeat prescription can legally only be filled once. In the event that it reasonably appears to us that a prescription or repeat prescription may have been filled already elsewhere, we reserve the right not to refund the purchase price of any item(s) purchased against the prescription or repeat prescription. This is to cover our increased costs of administration in fulfilling our legal obligations in verifying authenticity etc.
If your pet is on long-term medication, it may work out cheaper to request a repeat prescription from your vet. You won’t have to pay them for a new prescription every time you need to purchase the medicine and you won’t need to send us a new prescription with each order.
Please don’t forget to let your vet know if you would like make use of the repeat prescription option so that they can clearly mark the repeats on the prescription.
Please Note: prescriptions are only valid for 6 months from date of issue i.e. you must start having your prescription filled within 6 months of prescription being issued. A small number of medicines (e.g. Epiphen) are classified as Controlled Scheduled Medicines and in these cases the prescription must be filled within 28 days of the date of signing. With the exception of drugs falling under Schedule 5, Scheduled Drugs are also for single use only and cannot be written as Repeat Prescriptions. Your vet will be able to advise if your medication falls into this category.
